New View Safety
The shift from Safety-I to Safety-II: looking beyond failure to understand how work succeeds most of the time.
Flagship · 2 days
The two-day programme that equips safety professionals and frontline leaders to turn routine checks into coaching conversations that change how people work.
Who it's for
Safety managers, HSE leads, and frontline supervisors carrying real responsibility for keeping others safe — in high-risk industries and beyond. No prior coaching experience needed.
What you'll learn
The shift from Safety-I to Safety-II: looking beyond failure to understand how work succeeds most of the time.
Understanding the human performance factors behind everyday work, so you can respond intentionally and design better systems.
The mindset and practical skills — questioning, listening, silence, reframing — to shift from telling to asking, even under pressure.
Bringing it together: ask first, support when needed, instruct only when urgent — so workers identify hazards and co-design solutions because they feel capable, not because they're told to.
How the two days run
Build the foundation: New View, HOP, coaching principles, and empowered solutioning. Understand the shift before practising the skills.
Coaching in the field, building trust, handling resistance, and real practice with feedback — so the skill lands before people are back on site.
What you'll walk away able to do
Honest about the commitment
This is a foundation for measurable improvement over 6–12 months, not a quick fix. It asks for 1–2 days out of the office plus application time back on site. Post-workshop implementation support is available to help embed the skills.
Available as a two-day workshop, or a one-day intensive with implementation support.
Delivered by senior HSEQ coaches and practitioners who've led safety in complex industrial environments — not generic coaching trainers.
